I’m sharing some things I’ve been loving lately! If you try any of these products let me know what you think about them!

Moroccanoil Dry Shampoo for Light Tones

I have tried a lot of dry shampoos over the past couple of years and I always go back to this one. They carry a dry shampoo for dark tones also, and I love that they do that because each dry shampoo has pigment in it that make each specific hair tone shine & look as natural as possible. Most dry shampoos make my hair look powdery and I HATE that! I don’t want to walk around looking like I poured baby powder on my head. I have a very oily scalp and this dry shampoo really absorbs oil well. I absolutely love this product.

 Image Skincare

My face recently went through a breakout craze. It was AWFUL. I know there are plenty of people out there who are struggling with things way worse than acne, but if you have ever struggled with it, you know when your face looks awful it makes you feel awful. I didn’t feel good about myself, I felt like an ugly troll.  Call me dramatic, but it’s true. Because of this, I went to my esthetician in hopes that she could magically cure me. After I got an amazing facial, she gave me a sample of a few things from Image Skincare. I’m an oily person, so I use the balancing line. This stuff is a game changer, my skin cleared up in a week and I’m starting to finally feel good about myself again.

Method All-Purpose Cleaner

I never knew how much I loved cleaning products until I had a whole house to clean. Call me crazy, but I’m all about finding cleaning products that I love. I wipe down my counters every night so finding a good cleaner for that was important to me. I was using the Lysol all-purpose cleaner but dried my hands out SO bad I couldn’t stand it. I love Methods all-purpose cleaners because they’re all natural and so gentle on my hands.  All of the scents they have available smell amazing. I usually get mine at Target, but Amazon has them too. Let me know if you try/have tried this & what you think about it!

Homemade Olive Oil & Vinegar Dressing

My Grandmother has always made a salad dressing made purely of olive oil, red wine vinegar and salad supreme seasoning. I have tried time and time over and cannot seem to make it like she does. I always end up mixing too much of one of the ingredients and it ends up absolutely awful.

I subtracted from and added to a variety of recipes until I found the absolute perfect salad dressing. I love to use this dressing not only on salads, I use it on tuna (sometimes mixed in with a salad),  sandwiches, and pretty much anything else you can possibly think of because I could seriously drink this stuff! I love that it’s homemade, so I don’t have to worry about any ingredients being in there that I can’t pronounce. Being that I make it almost weekly, I know I’m putting something fresh into my body which is something I really value.

I have always absolutely loved ranch dressing and I have never found a dressing that compares to ranch until I started making this. I actually now prefer my homemade oil & vinegar dressing over ranch dressing any day.

Side Note: I realize this dressing does have sugar in it, not making it the healthiest thing in the world, but I have omitted the sugar and I honestly couldn’t tell a difference. If you try it out without the sugar, let me know what you think!

Our Wedding | The Details

If I’m being honest, planning our wedding was not fun for me. I have a hard time taking a bunch of little details and placing them into a bigger picture. Shout out to my Mom, and our wedding planner, Tara, for making our wedding so special! I’m so ADD, I don’t think I could’ve pulled it together alone.

Even though I didn’t love planning the wedding, looking back, I really love the little details of our special day. To me, the details of a wedding are what sets it apart from every other wedding. The little, special things are what you’ll look back on and really appreciate.

My parents got me a sixpence to place in my shoe. It comes from the old saying “Something Olde, Something New, Something Borrowed, Something Blue, A Sixpence in your Shoe.” It’s supposed to bring good luck, and it was a really sweet moment I had with my Dad when he brought it to me & placed it in my shoe. My Moms Dad did this for her on her wedding day, so it was nice to be able to carry on the tradition.

Speaking of shoes, my Mom picked them out and I LOVED them. They were the Kate Spade Sela heels. I love all of Kate Spade’s wedding shoe collection.

I was worried about the flowers because I had a vision in my head of what I wanted my flowers to look like and I had the hardest time relaying exactly what I wanted to our wedding planner! Pinterest helped me a ton when it came to flowers. I had a private board that only my Mom, the wedding planner, and I could see where I pinned all my flower inspiration pictures. This helped SO MUCH.

We got our guest book from Shutterfly! I was really pleased with how it turned out. We had a section for the traditional guest book where everyone signed their names, and we had a section where people could write little notes to us.

My Grandfather was one of the most, important, influential people in my life. He passed away five years ago, and I miss him every day. A dear family friend gave me this wedding bouquet photo charm that had my Grandpa’s Birthstone attached to it. This one of the most special gifts I received.

I remember Grandpa always had a handkerchief with him, so I wrapped my bouquet in one of his handkerchiefs as another tribute to him. I wish he could have been there on our wedding day, but I know he was looking down on us.

We got these little Thank You cards to place at everyones place setting during dinner. I ordered these off Etsy from a shop called That Pretty Invitation as a PDF and my Mom printed them off for us.

Farmhouse Decor Inspiration: Living Room

We have lived in our home or about four months now, and our house is nowhere near being decorated the way I want it. I know everything takes time, so I have decided to take on one room at a time. I thought the living room would be a good place to start because that is we spend most of our time. When I was younger I always thought I would want a bright, modern looking home. Now that I’m a homeowner I’m the total opposite. I want my house to feel warm, cozy and homey. I feel like rustic, “farmhouse” looking decor gives that vibe, so that’s what I’m going for in our living room!

First comes paint color. Right now the walls are white which is pretty, but it’s just kind of “blah.” I personally think paint makes the biggest difference in a room. I went back and forth between “Krypton,” and “Silvermist” for a while and I finally settled on “Krypton.” So far we’re loving it!
