Revlon color stay vs. Esteé Lauder Double Wear | Review

If I’m being honest, I’ve never in my life used a drugstore foundation. Shocker, right? I’ve worn Clinique all my life until up until the past year when I switched to Esteé Lauder’s Double Wear. Double Wear is AMAZING. Hands down the best foundation I’ve ever used. My skin is over the top sensitive. It’s oily AND dry at the same time, and I break out at the turn of a dime. Needless to say, I have a hard time finding a foundation that works for me. Double Wear has amazing coverage, it never breaks me out, and it stays ALL. DAY. LONG.

Word on the street is that Revlon ColorStay is comparable to Esteé Lauder’s Double Wear. I was skeptical, but I gave it a shot.
Y’all… This foundation ROCKED MY WORLD.

The texture, the color, and the coverage was the SAME as Double Wear.. I haven’t broken out from using it, and the best part is it’s $27.oo cheaper! Who doesn’t love that?? I got the combo/oily option in this foundation. ColorStay layers very well and blends well, which I love. If my skin is clear, it’s nice to be able to throw on a thin layer of makeup and go. If my skin is broken out (which is often) this foundation has amazing buildable coverage. I feel like it gives almost an airbrushed look. You can add layers without it looking chalky or cakey. I find if I add more than one layer of Double Wear it can start to look chalky.

Revlon ColorStay stayed on my face all day without getting oily. I truly put it to the test. I did laundry, cleaned my house, ran errands and celebrated my mothers birthday that evening. I broke a sweat a few times, and never saw a trace of oil. If you aren’t oily like I am, ColorStay has a normal/dry option also!

I did no editing to my face in the above picture (notice the bags under my eyes, I hate those things).. I’m floored at how well this foundation truly works!

Let me know if you try it & your thoughts!
